Washington County offers back-to-school immunizations for uninsured

The Washington County Department of Public Health and Environment is offering extra appointments for children who need their immunizations updated before the start of the next school year. These clinics are for school-age children who do not have medical insurance, or those whose medical insurance does not cover the cost of immunizations.

There is a $12 administration fee requested for each immunization, but no one who is eligible for these clinics will be turned away if they are unable to pay the cost.

Clinics will be: 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 26, Washington County Government Center, Fourth Floor WIC Clinic, 14949 62nd St. N., Stillwater, by appointment only. Call 651-430-4036 to schedule an appointment.

10 a.m. to noon and 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2, Cottage Grove Service Center- WIC Clinic, 13000 Ravine Parkway, Cottage Grove, by appointment only. Call 651-430-4036 to schedule an appointment.

For any questions regarding these back to school clinics, call 651-430-6655 and ask to speak with a public health nurse.
