Robert Burns, a fifth-grader at Hilltop Elementary, won second place in Inver Grove Heights’ fifth-grade district-wide fire prevention poster contest. Fire Marshall Jeff Schadegg awarded Burns with a $75 savings bond on Oct. 28.
Ramsey County Attorney Susan Gaertner will lead the Minnesota County Attorneys Association over the next 12 months. Gaertner was elected president during the Association’s annual meeting in Bloomington. Dakota County Attorney James C. Backstrom was elected treasurer.
