Sheriff's clerk admits to stealing $120,000 in jail funds

Theresa Marie Ford, 43, of Prior Lake pled guilty Sept. 12 to theft by swindle (a felony) in connection with the theft of approximately $120,000 of funds under the control of the Dakota County Sheriff's Office.

Arson at Guild South investigated

Two arsons at The Guild Group Home, 318 N. Second St., South St. Paul, the morning of Sept. 5 are being investigated by police.

The first fire was started around 3 a.m. in a second-floor reading room. The Fire Department responded to the scene and quickly extinguished the flames.
