Signs of spring - photos

Roseville Area High School students win national awards


Kennedy Hill, Drew Herther and Mitchell Morgan’s t-shirt creations received top awards at the Annual Specialty Graphic Imaging Association (SGIA) Convention.

Three Roseville Area High School students recently took top honors at a national screen-printing competition.
Kennedy Hill, Drew Herther and Mitchell Morgan’s t-shirt creations were selected from among hundreds of national and international submissions at the Annual Specialty Graphic Imaging Association (SGIA) Convention held in October. The Roseville students won three of the top six awards at the competition.

Vadnais Heights City Council approves new park and ride facility

In a 3-2 vote, the Vadnais Heights City Council approved an application submitted by Metro Transit for a site plan, special use permit and preliminary plat to build a commuter bus park and ride facility at 850 East County Road E. Council members Terry Nyblom and Craig Johnson voted against the motion at the March 5 council meeting.

Roseville City Council, RHRA discuss business retention, Dale Street redevelopment

The Roseville City Council held a joint meeting with the Roseville Housing and Redevelopment Authority (RHRA) March 3 to discuss the Business Retention and Expansion (BR&E) program and the Dale Street Redevelopment project.
The RHRA launched the BR&E program in November to get a better understanding of the local business environment in Roseville. A 24-person BR&E taskforce surveyed 41 non-retail businesses in Roseville to find out what their needs are.

The state of Roseville in 2014

Mayor Dan Roe delivered his fourth annual “State of the City” address at city hall last week, where he touted some of the city’s accomplishments from last year and spoke of some of the city’s plans for this year.
Roe gave credit to the city’s residents, businesses, volunteers, staff and local officials for helping to keep the city in a strong state. He said Roseville is well positioned to face future challenges and is poised for continued success moving forward.
