‘Sisterhood of War:’ Nurses who served in Vietnam will tell their story

March is Women's History Month, and the Ramsey County Branch Library in Roseville is celebrating it with programs about some of the more interesting aspects of being an American female.
The one that caught my editor's attention was historian Kim Heikkila's talk on her book "Sisterhood of War: Minnesota Women in Vietnam." She knew immediately that I would have a particular interest in the topic since I worked for Special Services in Vietnam during the war. It provided recreation programs for U.S. servicemen.

Police ask for tips in Trevino case


Investigators allege Kira Trevino's car, a 2006 four-door white Chevy Cobalt, was used to transport her body. Anyone who recalls seeing the car in a 100-mile radius of the Twin Cities the evening of Thursday, Feb. 21 or morning of Friday, Feb. 22.

St. Paul Police have investigated about 50 tips left on the tipline set up to find East Side woman Kira Trevino, but have not found her yet.

Roseville Area High School senior Trae Story closed out his prep wrestling career last weekend by competing in the state tournament. In his final trip to state, Story finished fifth.
