Two St. Paul men charged for meth possession

DEA seizes 6 pounds, scales and ledger after sting at Maplewood restaurant
Two St. Paul men are facing federal charges of possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute. The charge was filed by the Minnesota district of the United States Attorney's Office on April 22, 2013. The two men are identified as Antonio Ceron-Santos, 40, and Avimael Armenta-Hernandez, 27.
An affidavit from the United States District Court states that March 28, the defendants were arrested in a police sting with one pound of meth in a parking lot in Maplewood. Five pounds more were found at a house linked to the men.

Minnesota Ironman Bike Ride relocates to Washington County

Avid bicyclists in Washington County rejoiced when they learned the 47th Annual Minnesota Ironman Bike Ride will be relocating from its usual Lakeville course to a route that tours the St. Croix River Valley and surrounding communities
The ride, which will be on Sunday, April 28, was located in Lakeville for the last 13 years, and before that took place in Minneapolis and Buffalo.

Man charged with unlawful gun possession

Tue Chinh Dinh, 32, was arrested on Friday, April 12, after police searched a house on Second Street North in North St. Paul. Dinh was not at the home when law enforcement officials began the search that morning.

County Road B closed beginning April 29

Access to County Road B between northbound or southbound Highway 61 and Atlantic Street in Maplewood will be closed starting April 29 and continuing through mid-May. MnDOT is advising motorists to find an alternate route at this time.

North St. Paul Police have appointed Officer Anthony Amon as the newest part-time, non-sworn, uniformed officer who will assist the police department with day-to-day service and animal control.

A Rotary group of newspaper, radio and television journalists from the Czech Republic and Slovakia toured North St. Paul City Hall with City Manager Wally Wysopal April 9. The group and their hosts had just come from a state capitol tour.

North St. Paul woman pleads guilty to aiding boyfriend in 2011 murder case

Provided incorrect information to investigators
Alexandra Larson, 21, of North St. Paul has pleaded guilty to the felony charge of aiding and hiding her boyfriend at the time, Adrian Ricardo Flowers, after he killed De'Koda Galtney in a drive-by shooting on Sept. 28, 2011.
According to the criminal complaint, officers were summoned to the area of Third and Bates on the East Side of St. Paul on a report of shots fired near a street corner where children were playing on a warm day. Witnesses said an unknown man shot Galtney in the chest, and friends drove him to Regions Hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
