CITY OF SHOREVIEW NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN: NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Shoreview City Council will hold a Public Hearing at 7:00 p.m. Monday, April 7, 2014 at the Shoreview City Hall, located at 4600 Victoria Street North, Shoreview, Minnesota to consider a request to vacate public easements. APPLICANT: The Catholic Community of St. Odilia LOCATION: 3495 Victoria Street, 3510 Vivian Avenue, 3470 Vivian Avenue and 825 Cottage Place PROPOSAL: To vacate excess slope, bikeway/walkway, and drainage and utility easements on the above property. Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the School Board of Independent School District No. 621, State of Minnesota, was called to order by Jon Tynjala, Chair, at 7:00 p.m., February 11, 2014. Angie Peschel, Director of Curriculum & Instruction and Shane Wood, Science Resource Teacher, provided information about the progress of the partnership with the Twin Cities Army Ammunition Plant to provide real-world experiences in the delivery of our standards-based curriculum. Discussion followed.
Superintendent Hoverman; John Ward, Director of Human Resources & Operations; Carole Nielsen, Director of Finance and Angie Peschel provided an update on the planning and progress for the opening of Kindergarten Centers in fall 2014. Discussion followed.
John Ward presented a report of scheduled construction projects that are slated for District sites in summer 2014.
Board member Sager reported on 916 and Westerman reported on AMSD.
As liaisons to schools and on committees, Board members reported on upcoming events.
