Each week the staff at the Roseville Library answers more than 2,500 questions on every subject under the sun. Here are some of the most interesting ones they’ve gotten lately.
Q. How can I get a list of the e-books I’ve read on OverDrive?
A. OverDrive is one of the two vendors the Library currently uses to lend e-books to our Library patrons. Whether you can get a list of books you’ve previously read through OverDrive depends largely on what kind of device you’re using. If you have an Amazon Kindle product, the information is stored in your Amazon account, unless you have previously chosen to erase it. For e-readers like the Nook, Sony, or Kobo, the information is stored in your Adobe Digital Editions software module until you erase it. Unfortunately, if you have an iPad or other tablet device, you may be out of luck. These devices don’t generally store your reading list for you automatically. In any case, the Library itself does not keep records of what you’ve been reading, either in regular or e-book format.
Are you interested in learning more about e-books? The Library periodically offers classes on e-books, tablet computers and other reading devices. Check our website for more information http://www.rclreads.org
