Washington County endorses standard real estate filing fee



Real estate filing fees will now be uniform across the state of Minnesota. The legislators passed the Recorders Fee bill this session and it became effective on July 1. State standardization was the goal of this bill.

Legislation aims to repeal minimum gas price law

State Sen. Chuck Wiger has re-introduced legislation that would allow stations to sell gasoline at any price. If approved, the legislation would repeal a state law that requires gas stations to charge a minimum of 6 percent or up to 8 cents above wholesale cost.
