St. Andrew's hosts conversations about homelessness

St. Andrew's Lutheran Church, 900 Stillwater Road, Mahtomedi, is holding conversation on homelessness in the community, led by experts in the field. All are welcome to attend. The programs will be held on Sundays from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. on the following dates:

• Oct. 7 - Teen Homelessness - What Is being done and by whom?

Speaker: Cheryl Carrigan - Youth Advocate for Ramsey and Washington counties

• Nov. 4 - What are the effects of homelessness on children?

Speaker: Ryan Strack - director/case manager of School District 622 (North St. Paul-Maplewood-Oakdale) Homeless Advocacy Program

• Dec. 2 - What is the cost of doing nothing?

Speaker: Martha Eaves - director of Project Hope
