Roseville girls tennis looking to build on last year’s solid season
Roseville’s girls tennis team went 14-4 and advanced to the Section 3AA semifinals in 2004. The Raiders return four all-conference players from that team and have their sights set high in 2005.
“We should have some experience at many of the top spots on the team and more depth in the lower spots,” second-year head coach Anne Barnes said via email. “We want to contend in both the conference and the region.”
Among the returning players is junior Deborah Barany, who is in her fourth season on the varsity and third playing in the No. 1 singles position. Other returning all-conference selections include junior Mallory Madden and sophomores Melanie Madden and Cami Czech. Mallory Madden and senior Michelle Olszewski are the 2005 captains
