2018 IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM 

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN: 

Notice is hereby given that the City Council of Inver Grove Heights will meet in the City Council Chambers at 8150 Barbara Avenue, Inver Grove Heights, MN at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, 

February 12, 2018, to hold a public hearing to consider the making of the following improvements in the 2018 Improvement Program.

CITY PROJECT NO. 2018-05

INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS AT T.H. 3 AND DIFFLEY ROAD FOR THE ROBERT CURVE DEVELOPMENT 

Nature of Work

The construction will update the existing intersection to provide for the improved connection of Diffley Court in the Robert Curve Development to T.H. 3. The work will include construction of an eastbound right-turn lane on Diffley Road, installation of an ADA pedestrian crossings, relocating and updating the existing traffic signal, clearing and grubbing, pavement removal, excavation, grading, placing fill, aggregate base, pavement, curb and gutter, storm sewer, storm water ponds, restoration and appurtenances. These developer funded improvements meet the requirements of MnDOT, Dakota County and the City of Inver Grove Heights. 

Estimated Cost of Improvements: $200,000

The total estimated cost of the above listed improvements is $200,000. No special assessments are proposed for this project. Persons desiring to be heard with reference to the proposed improvements will be heard at said time and place of the public hearing. Notice is hereby given of an opportunity for public comment on a proposed substantial amendment to the Dakota County Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program for Federal Fiscal Year 2014.

Proposed Substantial Amendment

SCHOOL BOARD MEETING 

AND WORK SESSION 

A school board meeting and work session were held at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at Henry Sibley High School, Room A-241, 1897 Delaware Avenue, Mendota Heights, MN. The following board members were present: John Chandler, Brenda Corbett, Stephanie Levine, Joanne Mansur, Maureen Ramirez and Terry Stamman. Board member Byron Schwab was absent. Superintendent Peter Olson-Skog was present. Student Representative Rahel Mekonnen was present. 

The Oath of Office was administered to the newly elected School Board members. 

Motions carried to approve the agenda and consent agenda. The consent agenda included the minutes from the January 3, 2018 meeting; personnel recommendations; review of policies 410, 514, 710 and 915; gifts to the district; November 2017 accounts payable and treasurer’s reports; and December 2017 wire transfers. 

A work session followed and included updates on the ATPPS program and the district’s staff development plan. 

The meeting adjourned at 6:15 p.m. 

The next regularly scheduled School Board meeting of Independent School District 197 is scheduled for Monday, February 5, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. at the Mendota Heights Council Chambers, 1101 Victoria Curve, Mendota Heights, MN.
