NOTICE OF HEARING ON IMPROVEMENT CITY OF ARDEN HILLS RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN: NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Arden Hills, Minnesota, will meet in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, 1245 West Highway 96, in said City on Monday, January 27, 2014, at 7:00 p.m. to hold a public hearing pursuant to Minn. Stat. §§429.011 to 429.11 to consider the Round Lake Road Area Improvement. • Round Lake Road – 1,000 feet south of Hwy 96 to Gateway Boulevard • Gateway Court – Round Lake Road to cul-de-sac • Gateway Boulevard – Round Lake Road to cul-de-sac The improvement will include the street reconstruction, mill and overlay, water and storm sewer construction, and necessary appurtenances. The foregoing is substantially in accordance with the feasibility report, which is now on file and open to public inspection in the office of the City Administrator. The area proposed to be assessed for the project is the abutting properties to the aforementioned street segments. The estimated cost of the improvement is $2,016,305. Assessment information has been included in the feasibility report and a reasonable estimate of the impact of the assessment will be available at the hearing. NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING CITY OF ARDEN HILLS RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA To Whom It May Concern: Notice is hereby given that the Arden Hills City Council will meet in the Council Chambers of the City Hall to consider the establishment of a Bridge Replacement Program as hereinafter described: DATE: January 27, 2014 TIME: 7:00 pm LOCATION: City Hall Council Chambers 1245 West Highway 96 Arden Hills, MN 55112 The State of Minnesota has established the State Transportation Fund, also known as the State Bridge Bond Fund, to assist local government agencies in the replacement of deficient bridges. Arden Hills currently has two bridges under the jurisdiction, and based on the annual inspections, one of these bridges, the Old Snelling Avenue Bridge over Lake Josephine Discharge Channel, will need to be replaced in the near future. In order for Arden Hills to apply for funding assistance for the replacement of this bridge, the City needs to establish a Prioritized Bridge Replacement List. The establishment of the Bridge Replacement Prioritization List notifies MnDOT of the City’s bridge replacement needs and also allows the City to apply to MnDOT for State Bridge Bond Funding. STATE OF MINNESOTA COUNTY OF RAMSEY CITY OF ARDEN HILLS NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING FOR A ZONING CODE ORDINANCE AMENDMENT TO SECTIONS 1305 AND 1320 OF THE ZONING CODE PLANNING CASE 14-004 TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN: NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on Wednesday, February 5, 2014, at 6:30 p.m., the Arden Hills Planning Commission will hold a Public Hearing to review a proposal for an amendment to Sections 1305.04 Definitions and Section 1320 District Provisions of the Arden Hills Zoning Code. The amendment would create a new definition for “emergency dispatch facilities” and would revise the land use chart to allow this use as a conditional use in designated zoning districts within the City. The proposed CUP for Emergency Dispatch Services would allow an ambulance substation at 1209 County Road E. The request would allow for one (1) ambulance along with the paramedics to be stationed at the facility in order to provide additional coverage in Arden Hills and the neighboring communities. The property is located at 1209 County Road E, which is generally located north of County Road E, south of the Canadian Pacific Railroad Tracts, east of Highway 51, and west of Lexington Avenue. The proposed CUP for a Public Use is to allow a collection site for yard waste and source-separated organics at 1761 Lake Johanna Boulevard. The request would allow for drop-off collection of sourceseparated organics (SSO) in addition to the yard waste materials that are currently collected at the site. Yard waste materials would include grass clippings, leaves, garden waste and other soft plant materials along with tree and shrub waste. By including SSO at the collection site, County residents could dispose of food waste/scraps and non-recyclable paper. The property is located at 1761 Lake Johanna Boulevard, which is generally located north of County Road E West/Lake Johanna Boulevard, south of the Canadian Pacific Railroad Tracts, east of New Brighton Road, and west of Snelling Avenue North. The Clerk of the School Board is authorized to certify the proposed levy to the County Auditor of Ramsey County, Minnesota. Voting aye: all; nay: none. Motion carried.
