NOTICE The MNDNR has prepared a draft lake vegetation management plan (LVMP) for Lake Johanna. There will be a public meeting to discuss the plan on Thursday, January 23rd, 2014 from 6:30 PM till 8:00 PM at the Johanna Shores Presbyterian Homes, Fellowship Hall (3200 Lake Johanna Blvd, Arden Hills). Use north Care Center entrance. A copy of the LVMP will be available on the Lake Johanna Improvement Society website @ http://www.ljis.org/. The DNR will be accepting public comments until February 7th, 2014. Arden Hills

NOTICE OF HEARING ON IMPROVEMENT CITY OF ARDEN HILLS RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN: NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Arden Hills, Minnesota, will meet in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, 1245 West Highway 96, in said City on Monday, January 27, 2014, at 7:00 p.m. to hold a public hearing pursuant to Minn. Stat. §§429.011 to 429.11 to consider the Round Lake Road Area Improvement. • Round Lake Road – 1,000 feet south of Hwy 96 to Gateway Boulevard • Gateway Court – Round Lake Road to cul-de-sac • Gateway Boulevard – Round Lake Road to cul-de-sac The improvement will include the street reconstruction, mill and overlay, water and storm sewer construction, and necessary appurtenances. The foregoing is substantially in accordance with the feasibility report, which is now on file and open to public inspection in the office of the City Administrator. The area proposed to be assessed for the project is the abutting properties to the aforementioned street segments. The estimated cost of the improvement is $2,016,305. Assessment information has been included in the feasibility report and a reasonable estimate of the impact of the assessment will be available at the hearing. All persons desiring to be heard with reference to the proposed improvement, and the area proposed to be assessed, may appear and be heard by the City Council at the time and place stated above. NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING CITY OF ARDEN HILLS RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA To Whom It May Concern: Notice is hereby given that the Arden Hills City Council will meet in the Council Chambers of the City Hall to consider the establishment of a Bridge Replacement Program as hereinafter described: DATE: January 27, 2014 TIME: 7:00 pm LOCATION: City Hall Council Chambers 1245 West Highway 96 Arden Hills, MN 55112 The State of Minnesota has established the State Transportation Fund, also known as the State Bridge Bond Fund, to assist local government agencies in the replacement of deficient bridges. Arden Hills currently has two bridges under the jurisdiction, and based on the annual inspections, one of these bridges, the Old Snelling Avenue Bridge over Lake Josephine Discharge Channel, will need to be replaced in the near future. In order for Arden Hills to apply for funding assistance for the replacement of this bridge, the City needs to establish a Prioritized Bridge Replacement List. The establishment of the Bridge Replacement Prioritization List notifies MnDOT of the City’s bridge replacement needs and also allows the City to apply to MnDOT for State Bridge Bond Funding. The establishment of a Prioritized Bridge Replacement List requires that the City hold a public hearing. Dated this 13th day of January, 2014. Shoreview

ORDINANCE NO. 916 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 200 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE The Shoreview City Council ordains that Chapter 200, Development Code is hereby amended as follows: Section 211.070, Housing Code. The intent of the proposed amendment is to establish minimum standards for common areas of multi-family residential structures. The amendment hereby follows: CHAPTER 200 - SHOREVIEW DEVELOPMENT CODE 211.070 Housing Code (D) Interior of Structures. The interior of residential structures, including common areas of multifamily dwellings, dwelling units in the City shall comply with the following standards: (5) Stairs and walking surfaces. Every stair, ramp, landing or other walking surface, including carpeting and other surfaces shall be maintained in sound condition and good repair and not be of a tripping hazard. (10) Light and ventilation. No owner shall use or occupy or allow another to use or occupy any residential structure, including common areas of multi-family dwellings or dwelling unit, for the purpose of living, sleeping, cooking, and/or eating therein which does not comply with the provisions of the Building Code for light and ventilation. Lighting and ventilation shall be maintained in sound condition and workmanlike repair. (11) Fire safety. No owner shall use or occupy or allow another to use or occupy any residential structure, including common areas of mulitfamily dwellings dwelling unit which does not comply with the applicable provisions of the Uniform Fire Code and all accepted standards for safety from fire. (12) Cleanliness. Residential structures, including common areas of multi-family dwellings, and dwelling interiors shall be maintained in clean and sanitary condition, free of accumulations of garbage and refuse so as not to breed insects and rodents, produce dangerous gases, odors and bacteria, or other unsanitary conditions, or create a fire hazard. (13) Common Solid Waste Disposal Facilities. Interior solid waste disposal facilities designed for common use by occupants of multifamily residential structures shall be maintained in sound condition and workman like manner. Waste shall be disposed of in a timely manner to prevent the accumulation of garbage and refuse. (14) Elevators and Related Devices. Elevators shall be maintained in accordance with Minnesota Rules Chapter 1307, Elevators and Related Devices. Effective Date. CITY OF SHOREVIEW NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN: NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Shoreview Planning Commission will hold a Public Hearing at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 28, 2014 in the City Council Chambers at the Shoreview City Hall, 4600 Victoria Street North, Shoreview, Minnesota to consider a Comprehensive Plan Amendment and Planned Unit Development – Development Stage to convert the existing mixed use to a retail use.
