THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF

SHOREVIEW ORDAINS:

Section 1. Pursuant to Minnesota

Law, and the Shoreview City Code,

and upon review and analysis of City

Enterprise Funds, a fee schedule for

the operation and maintenance costs

associated with the augmentation of

Snail Lake is hereby adopted.

2018 Snail Lake Augmentation

Fee Schedule

(a) The fees for the operation and

maintenance costs associated with

the augmentation of Snail Lake be

set by the Shoreview City Council

(b) The Snail Lake Improvement

District Board has reviewed the

current Augmentation Fee Schedule

and is recommending that the

2018 Snail Lake Augmentation

Fee Schedule, hereto attached

as Amendment 1 to Exhibit A, be

adopted.

(c) Upon consideration and review

of the Shoreview City Council, the

These are the abridged minutes

from the School Board meeting

held on January 23, 2018, which

were approved at the February 13,

2018, School Board meeting.

The regular meeting was called to

order at 6:30 p.m.

Board Members present: Anderson,

Azer, Boguszewski, Gogins, Johnson,

Shaw

Board Members absent: none

Administrative staff present: Loeck,

Mobley, Schaub, Sicoli, Thompson,

Von De Linde

Reports and Non-Action Items:

1. Chair Kitty Gogins read a

proclamation from Governor Dayton

designating January 22-26, 2018, as

Paraprofessional Recognition Week.

2. Dr. Jenny Loeck, director of

secondary education; Dr. Alecia

Mobley, director of student

services; and Jake Von De Linde,

director of teaching and learning,

reported on student participation in

special education, English Learner

programming, advanced options,

gifted and talented, and activities and

athletics.

3. Dr. Mobley presented proposed

revisions to Policy 576: Use of Peace

Officers and Crisis Teams to Remove

Students with IEPs From School

Grounds.

4. Karen Schaub, director of

community education, presented

proposed revisions to Policy 808:

Volunteers.

5. Shari Thompson, business

manager, provided an update on

the facilities planning process and

forthcoming design phase.

Action Items:

1. The consent agenda including the

minutes of the regular school board

meeting on January 9, 2018; payment

of bills; resignations, appointments,

reductions, adjustments; and gifts

was approved.

2. The revised 2017-2018 budget

was approved.

3. The 2018-2019 budget parameters

and timeline were approved.

4. The Resolution to Fully Fund

Special Education Services

(Minnesota) was adopted.

5. The Resolution to Fully Fund

Special Education Services (Federal)

was adopted.

6. No motion was made to adopt the

resolution, Support for the Purchase

and Exchange of School Trust Lands

in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area

Wilderness Proceeding in Tandem.

No further action was taken on this

item.

7. A motion to enter into a closed

session immediately following the

regular meeting for the purpose

of discussing labor negotiations

strategy was approved. Present

during the closed session were

board members Anderson, Azer,

Boguszewski, Gogins, Johnson,

and Shaw; Superintendent Sicoli;

Shari Thompson, business manager;

Cindy Gustafson, human resources

supervisor; and Dr. Jenny Loeck,

director of secondary education.

The meeting was adjourned at 9:00

p.m.
