AN ORDINANCE AMENDMENT AMENDING CHAPTER 9 OF THE ZONING CODE REGARDING CONTENT-BASED SIGNAGE AND BILLBOARDS 

“The City Council of the City of New Brighton adopted Ordinance 860 on March 27, 2018 revising the entirety of Chapter 9 of the Zoning Code removing and/or revising any existing regulations that are content-based, ensuring the ordinance meets content-neutrality requirements. Ordinance 860 also revises regulations regarding new billboards and creates new standards whereby a new billboard may be erected. Lastly, Ordinance 860 corrects misspellings, re-words vague language, re-numbers and re-letters paragraphs throughout the ordinance for clarity purposes.
