The Christmas Dollhouse: history in miniature

On Christmas morning 1887, 5-year-old Laura Furness, the youngest granddaughter of Alexander Ramsey, unwrapped a beautiful dollhouse. It quickly became one of Laura's favorite things.

In this 45-minute program guests will hear stories of the Christmas dollhouse and other Victorian toys which are part of the Ramsey House collection.

Guests will also enjoy freshly baked cookies and hot cider in the kitchen. A craft project is available in the carriage house prior to the program.

The historic Alexander Ramsey House is located at 265 Exchange St. S. in St. Paul.

"The Christmas Dollhouse will be presented at 5:30, 6 and 6:30 p.m. Dec. 6. The fee is $11 for adults, $9 for seniors and college students, and $7 for ages 6-17.
