Lowry Grove redevelopment proposal rejected by St. Anthony

The St. Anthony City Council unanimously voted to reject a re-worked proposal for the redevelopment of the Lowry Grove property, despite the owner’s efforts to address concerns from residents.

Mounds View grants liquor license to movie theater

Mounds View has just one movie theater, and with its population of 13,000 residents, and a geographical area of approximately four square miles, Mayor Carol Mueller says “that makes sense.”

New hotel set to come to Arden Hills, situated along I-694


The exterior of the building will be comprised of a variety of building materials, including brick, stone, glass and other materials. Built three decades ago, a vacant office building tucked away on Northwoods Drive near Interstate 694 and Lexington Avenue in Arden Hills will soon be replaced by a 139-room hotel.

Arden Hills site submitted as potential Amazon headquarters


Ramsey County officials have proposed that Amazon use part of the 427-acre Rice Creek Commons development for its second headquarters. Jesse Poole

Ramsey County wants Amazon. It made that clear when it proposed two possible locations for the Seattle-based online retailer’s second headquarters. One of those Ramsey County locations is in Arden Hills.

New Brighton submits $1.9 million offer to buy Korean church property


New Brighton has submitted a $1.9 million offer to purchase the property at 701 Eighth Ave. NW, the site of the Korean United Methodist Church, which is no longer in use. Once the sale goes through, the city said it will likely redevelopment the land for residential purposes, though it has not yet made a final decision. Jesse Poole

New Brighton is aiming to make an investment by acquiring a plot of land just blocks from City Hall and its public safety facility.
