Each year, the high school baseball and football all-star events are held on the same weekend. Between the two events, all three Bulletin area high schools have players participating this year.
The girls golf team had the honor of being the final athletes from Mounds View High School competing in the 2015-16 school year.
The Mounds View/Irondale/Roseville PI adapted softball team recently closed out its season with a high honor. The Rams took part in the state tournament on June 3-4 at Coon Rapids High School.
For a team that blew away most of its opponents in the regular season, Tartan High School boys lacrosse proved adept at rallying during the post-season.
Roseville Area High School saw its contingent of athletes at the state track and field meet amass four all-state performances at the event held June 10-11 at Hamline University in St. Paul.
Of its eight state entries, Concordia Academy’s track and field teams amassed five all-state honors.
St. Anthony Village High School’s Nicholas Kroening and Quinn Bellestri wrapped up the prep tennis season with an appearance in the state tournament last week.
For the third straight year, the Mounds View High School girls golf team is represented at the state tournament. For the second time in three years, the Mustangs made state as a team.
The Mounds View High School boys tennis team went after a championship repeat last week but came up short of that goal.
The Mustangs went 1-2 in the Class AA team tournament and finished fourth.
Although only a freshman, Julia Fixsen is already a multi-year state track and field qualifier. By the time she wraps up her senior season, there’s a good shot she’ll have multiple state championships.
