In a hard-fought girls hockey contest Tuesday, Dec. 2 at Aldrich Arena, the Hill-Murray Pioneers outlasted the Tartan Titans by a count of 2-0.

It was the opening game of Metro East Conference action for both teams.

Boys basketball: Tartan opens season with non-conference win over Roosevelt

The Tartan Titans returned from a weekend of fun in Las Vegas where they enjoyed temperatures in the low 70s and played in six scrimmage sessions.
