The "Bergeron Pass" memorial stone near Lake Phalen underwent renovations recently. The stone is located near where Maplewood police Sgt. Joseph Bergeron was ambushed and killed while he was investigating a carjacking in 2010.
Boulder repainted after death of officer Patrick
A couple weeks ago, the memorial commemorating slain Maplewood police Sgt. Joseph Bergeron was not in peak condition. The lettering was faded, there was some sign of wear, and memorial had been defaced with spray paint in November 2013.

East Side skateboarders and aggressive skaters could be in luck -- the East Side may get ramps, rails and quarter pipes of its own.

Adlai Xiong, 27, of Minneapolis is dead following a shooting in front of Moonshine Saloon in the early hours of Saturday, Oct. 26, according to St. Paul police.
Two others - a man and a woman, ages 23 and 24 - also were injured in the incident and are expected to recover, said Howie Padilla, spokesperson for the police department.
