Roseville PD drills for active shooters

Rice and I-694 interchange project slated for spring


file photo Area elected officials have long sought to replace the outdated Rice Street bridge over Interstate 694. With state funding secured in 2017, work to rebuild the interchange is slated to begin in spring 2019.

Residents of the north suburbs got a break this year from major construction projects on the area’s biggest east/west corridors, though another one is coming up for 2019.

After 38 years, PJW Automotive closes up shop

Though PJW Automotive had serviced its last car two weeks prior, the former New Brighton auto shop’s owner, Pat Whelan, was still there Nov. 14, breaking down the business he’d spent half his life building up.

More senior housing an easy call for Falcon Heights council

The Falcon Heights City Council was happy to give final approval Nov. 14 to a senior housing complex that will be built on Larpenteur Avenue. It should be complete in a year.

Bites abound at revamped Rosedale Center

Change continues at Rosedale Center with the early November announcement of a standalone, 264-seat steakhouse that’s slated to open at the Roseville mall next fall.
