Long before competitive hockey took hold in South St. Paul, basketball games filled the bleachers. Local youth — including Doug Woog, 71 — looked up to high school basketball players with aspirations of someday filling their spot on the court.
Thomas Michael Luby, 58, of South St. Paul, was charged Monday with one count of second-degree murder in connection with the intentional stabbing death of Kelly Ann Anderson, 45, also of South St. Paul.
District 199 superintendent Dave Bernhardson points out the new entrance of Simley High School, where students and visitors will be immediately met by administrative offices and a reception area. In the past, these offices were closer to the center of the building. (Jesse Poole/Review)
It's summer and most students are out of school, but that doesn't mean the lights are off and the hallways empty.

At approximately 3:28 p.m. Thursday, July 30, officers of the South St. Paul Police Department responded to Wakota Federal Credit Union, 1151 Southview Blvd, South St. Paul, on a report of a bank robbery.
