Arden Hills has three open spots on its city council in the upcoming elections on Nov. 4—two council member seats and the mayor’s chair—and exactly three people will be on the ballot next week to fill those positions.
The Halloween spirit is in full swing at the haunted graveyard at 4445 Snail Lake Blvd. in Shoreview. Kids out trick-or-treating on Friday will need to muster up a great amount of courage to brave the skeletons, zombies and giant spiders hiding behind the headstones at this address.
The city of Shoreview continues to plan for its pending breakup with the North Suburban Cable Commission and CTV, which currently broadcasts and web streams the city’s various public meetings and events.
New changes streamline the drop-off process
Shoreview and Arden Hills residents will have a chance to get rid of large household waste items at the cities' Fall Cleanup Day, Saturday, Oct. 4, from 7 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Ramsey County Public Works building at 1425 Paul Kirkwood Drive in Arden Hills.
Apple season is well underway, and the Victoria Valley Orchard, located at 4304 Victoria St. in Shoreview, is open daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. this time of year. There are many varieties of delicious apples grown at the local orchard, such as the sweet and tangy Zestar!, juicy and flavorful SweeTango, aromatic and tart State Fair and well-balanced and versatile Red Baron, to name just a few.
