All three Review-area high school boys hockey teams have gotten the 2016-17 season started off on the right foot. They have combined for 17 victories through Dec. 20 and should be worth watching throughout the season.
Following his team’s two-point victory over Chisago Lakes on Dec. 6, North High School boys basketball coach Joe Janquart identified a few areas where his team will need to improve if it wants to get on a roll like it had last season.
Not that many years ago, the North High School wrestling team suffered through a one-win season. After that tough year, head coach Denver Moeller and his staff went to work trying to change the fortunes of the program.
The North High School gymnastics team recently opened the 2016-17 season with a roster full of experienced varsity gymnasts. The Polars also added some talent to the roster and is looking for a solid campaign.
After winning just six games last season and returning only one player with varsity experience, the Hill-Murray boys basketball team faces a bunch of unknowns this winter. The Pioneers are heading down that unknown road with a new coach.
