The North Polars were cruising along May 28 in semifinal Section 4AAA softball action at the McKnight Fields complex.
At the end of five innings North - behind the slants of hurler Haley Schanks - had a comfortable 5-0 leeway over their opponent, the Stillwater Ponies.

Polars shutout Woodbury Royals; next stop North Mankato
In the finals of the Section 4AAA softball tournament May 29 at the McKnight Fields softball complex, the No. 1-seeded North High Polars defeated the Woodbury Royals 7-0 to gain a trip to the Minnesota State Class AAA Softball Tournament.
