The Tartan boys and Hill-Murray girls lacrosse teams have their sights set on a trip to the state tournament and took the first step toward that goal last week. Both teams rolled in their playoff openers.

Hill-Murray baseball headed for MEC showdown with Mahtomedi


Hill-Murray second baseman Austin Peterson tosses the ball to Max Faust (19) at first to end the 4th inning. The Pioneers won 4-2 at home May 3.

Hill-Murray’s baseball team played in the only Metro East Conference game of the day on May 5. The Pioneers, who visited Simley that day, needed a victory over the Spartans to keep pace with Mahtomedi in the conference standings.
