Girl Scout Troop 55171, 5th graders at Kaposia Education Center in South St. Paul, has completed their Bronze Award, the highest honor a Girl Scout Junior can achieve. This award is a leadership adventure to help girls develop confidence, meet new people, and have fun while they make a difference in their world.

The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi announces that Thomas Adrian of Inver Grove Heights was recently initiated into Phi Kappa Phi, the nation’s oldest and most selective collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines. Adrian is pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering at University of Minnesota.

Emily Eichstadt of Inver Grove Heights, a senior at Simley Senior High School, has been accepted to The College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, for entry in Fall 2013. She was awarded a Benedictine Scholarship which is available to all new St. Scholastica applicants and is based on merit.

SSP food drive total nearly triple the goal

IGH resident named Athena award winner

Caitlyn Russell, an Inver Grove Heights resident attending Cretin-Derham Hall High School, has been named to the St. Paul Area Athena Awards.

The awards are given to young women who excel in athletics, academics and leadership.
