Mitchell Novak, 14, is a Stillwater Junior High School student who was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma last year. Since that time he has undergone several rounds of chemotherapy treatment, and has spent several days in the hospital.

Memorial service to be held Sunday
Herward “Herb” Alfred Vogel passed away peacefully on Friday, Feb. 13, surrounded by family at the age of 82. Vogel spent several years on the city’s planning commission and city council, and was Oakdale’s mayor from 1972 to 1974.

A panel of judges, after watching, listening, and then individually critiquing eight Class AA dramatic productions, rated Hill-Murray School’s “The Great Gatsby” a “starred performance” on Friday, Feb.
