A driver crashed his Chevy Tahoe into the Hy-Vee in Oakdale Oct. 31, striking the rental video dispenser, shelving and products displayed in the front of the grocery store. 


Oakdale residents report hoax letter

The Oakdale Police Department sent out a hoax alert Oct. 12 about a letter some residents received earlier this month. The letter, seen above, raised a number of red flags — the phone number listed is not a city number and the city’s URL is misspelled — and should be ignored. One man allegedly robbed four area gas stations between Sept. 28 and 29. The Oakdale, Maplewood and North St. Paul police departments teamed up to identify a suspect who allegedly robbed gas stations in all three communities.
