Letter: ‘A true leader’

After attending the recent forum for Vadnais Heights Mayor and City Council candidates and reading candidates’ responses to questions posed by the Shoreview Bulletin, we are especially impressed with the professionalism, forward-thinking, and responsiveness to citizens’ needs demonstrated by Mayor Marc Johannsen.

Letter: ‘Enough is enough’

It is unconscionable that the School District 282 Board would propose a referendum asking taxpayers for more money.

Letter: ‘Same great education’

My parents moved my sister and I, along with my brother who was about to be born, to St. Anthony because of the schools.  A few months later, I began kindergarten at Wilshire Park and thirteen years later,  I graduated from St. Anthony Village High School.

Letter: U.S. Rep. incumbent responds to letter writer

A recent letter from a Shoreview representative of Christians United for Israel (CUFI) ("'Unconscionable' actions," Oct. 22, 2014) criticized me for not meeting personally with his group, even though my staff in Washington, DC has met with them year after year. While I meet with hundreds of Minnesota constituent groups every year, I have not met with CUFI and I have serious concerns about the group.

Letter: ‘Progress’

Letter: Against ISD 282 levy

The taxpayers of St. Anthony and New Brighton that reside in School District 282 would be well advised to vote NO on the two school levy questions in the November 4 election.

Letter: ‘Outrageous example of falsehood’

These TV ads against Randy Jessup suggesting he'll vote to limit coverage for women's health problems are such an outrageous example of the falsehood of all political ads these days.

Letter: ‘DFL claptrap’

The latest DFL mailer is such claptrap: Barb Yarusso keeps her priorities straight because she's a "trained engineer."  Which part of that--the training or the engineering--makes her more likely to do what she's promised, or to promise what her constituents want?
