Hill-Murray is sending two competitors to this week’s Alpine ski state meet. Zach Slaviero and Sydney Schmelz will represent the Pioneers on Wednesday at Giants Ridge in Biwabik.

Girls hockey playoffs continue this week

Girls basketball teams back on the courts after holiday break
Hill-Murray senior Sami Schneider was one of 33 high school seniors to make the first cut for the 2016 Miss Minnesota Basketball award. The announcement was made on Jan. 6.
The Miss Minnesota Basketball award is given annually to the top female high school senior basketball player in the state. The 2015 recipient was Eastview's Madison Guebert, who this year is a member of the South Dakota State University women's basketball team.
