MH, WSP and SSP Holiday Break youth trip

The Parks and Recreation departments of Mendota Heights, West St. Paul and South St. Paul are teaming to provide students a fun-filled day during Holiday Break. On Dec. 27, the departments will provide bus rides for a day at the bowling alley, followed by a movie.

The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) invites the community to the holiday festivities of its fifth-annual Holiday Lights in the Park event at Phalen Park, 1615 Phalen Drive. The event opened Nov. 20 and will run in the evenings through Jan. 1, 2013.

Talk tax reform with your politicians Dec. 19

State Rep. John Lesch and State Sen. John Marty will host Minnesota Department of Revenue Commissioner Myron Frans at a town hall meeting on Dec. 19 in St. Paul to discuss tax reform ideas with area residents. The meeting is open to the public and residents are encouraged to participate.

Free jazz concert at St. James Lutheran
