Meet author, spider specialist, and super-fun, nature-knowledgeable fellow, Larry Weber! He will teach us about intriguing creatures including the shamrock orb weaver, zebra jumping spider, and fishing spiders in the wetland.
Did you know that Native Americans in Minnesota historically used cattails to make their houses, mattresses and toys? You can even eat parts of them! Cattails are useful for many things because they are flexible and sturdy.
Join us for a day of hands-on activities making Ojibwe-style cattail mats and learn about the many ways people in the past used these plants in their everyday lives. These mats will be used for the nature center cultural programs.
Are you an animal lover? Do you love winning amazing prizes while also supporting your community? If you answered yes to either of these questions, Caring for Cats’ Bingo Night is definitely the place for you!
Come enjoy music, free brick oven pizza, silent auction, bounce house, face painting, balloon art, yard games, giant Jenga, and a tour of the Women’s Life Care Center. Enjoy a day of family fun and learn about all of the exciting community programs we offer!
