Stepmom charged after 9-year-old screams 'Mom's trying to kill me'

Boy flees into elementary school, principal witnesses threat  A 24-year-old Dayton's Bluff woman is charged with making terroristic threats to her 9-year-old stepson, and for maliciously punishing him.

On March 25, after school let out, the young boy ran into Dayton's Bluff Achievement Plus Elementary School reportedly panicked, fearing for his life and fleeing from his stepmother.

Demonstrators plan indefinite protests at East Side's Mexican Consulate

Hoping to raise awareness for Marine vet arrested in Mexico   Holding American Flags and signs saying "Boycott Mexico" and "Free Andrew," a group of mostly suburban protesters have been gathering every Thursday morning at the Mexican Counsulate on East Seventh Street. Cars can be heard honking constantly as they pass the group. They're there protesting the arrest of U.S. Marine Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi who is being held in Mexico after illegally crossing the U.S.-Mexico border with three firearms.

Firefighters raise funds to warm up Dayton's Bluff kids


All Dayton's Bluff Achievement Plus Elementary School students may be getting new coats this winter as part of a fundraising effort by the St. Paul Fire Department. (submitted photo)
If things go as planned, every single student at Dayton's Bluff Achievement Plus Elementary School will be getting a new coat this winter.
