MVHS girls golf expects to be in the thick of it

Each year the main goal of the Mounds View High School girls golf team is to contend for a berth in the state tournament. That’s no different this spring as the Mustangs look to get the team to state for the first time since 2011.
“We played good golf last season,” said Mounds View head coach Paul Bailey. “We made progress and could reach our potential this year.”

The rotten weather in 2013 forced the Mounds View High School fastpitch softball team to play its entire season in the span of three weeks. This yearís team would like the season spread out a bit in order to get more practice time between games.
Head coach Frank Roth has a group of veterans who will need help from some newcomers in order to reach this year’s goals.
