The Ramsey County Sheriff's Office is looking for a suspect in the shooting that killed a man at an Arden Hills Holiday gas station the morning of Aug. 11, according to a police statement.

Arden Hills council voices road construction fatigue

As road construction at the interchange between County Road 96 and U.S. Highway 10 in Arden Hills continues to snarl traffic within the city, council members, during a work session following the April 28 regular meeting, said they’d nearly had it with the prospect of more choking construction.


Arden Hills City Council says no to Xcel franchise fees

Following a second public hearing on utility franchise fees on Monday, Feb. 24, the Arden Hills City Council made a unanimous decision to halt any further discussion of enacting the fees.  Had it been implemented, the franchise fee agreement with Xcel Energy would have added $4.75 per month to city residents’ gas and electric bills -- a $3 flat rate for electricity and $1.75 for natural gas.
“I think we have heard loud and clear from the residents and we have had some good speakers for [franchise fees], but the vast majority have been against. The community does not want franchise fees,” council member Fran Holmes said.


Arden Hills to discuss utility franchise fees

Should Arden Hills add an Xcel Energy  “franchise fee” -- which would be tacked onto residents’ gas and electric bills -- to boost funding for street, park and trail improvements?
The Arden Hills City Council has been studying the pros and cons of that idea and has scheduled public hearings next month to further discuss the issue with residents.


TCAAP open house scheduled for Jan. 22

The city of Arden Hills and Ramsey County are hosting a TCAAP open house at the Ramsey County Public Works Facility in Arden Hills on Wednesday, Jan. 22 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.  
The open house will provide residents an opportunity to learn more about proposed development at the site, as well as a chance to share opinions on future use at TCAAP.
