Urban Roots Open House

Urban Roots invites neighbors to an open house on Thursday, Aug. 3 from 4 to 7 p.m. to see what the youth interns have been working on over the summer. There will be fresh, wood fired pizzas, games, honey bees and prizes.

Connecting Community Breakfast

The Christian Cupboard Emergency Food Shelf (CCEFS) will be hosting the inaugural Connecting Community Breakfast on September 21, 2017 as part of its Raise the Roof capital campaign. Special guest, Matt Birk, former Minnesota Viking, St. Paul native son and recipient of the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award will speak. The breakfast will be held at the Envision Event Center in Oakdale from 7 AM to 9 AM. Advance registration is $25 and increases to $35 after September 12.

St. Paul Branch AAUW will be hosting its annual Afternoon Tea, August 9, 2017, 2:00 – 4:00 pm at the St. Paul College Club, 990 Summit Avenue. Doors open at 1:30 PM, with lawn games, AAUW historical exhibit, house tours, and piano music. Three-course lunch service begins at 2. Sunday Funday: Bocce & Music for Wild Paws

Sixteen bocce teams, four bands, one food truck and one great cause! Register for the tournament ($30) or just come enjoy the music ($10).

Wild Paws mission is to rescue and provide a safe habitat for wild animals using sustainable resources; to promote coexistence between humans and wildlife; and to educate the public about the preservation of wild animals and their ecosystems.

National Night Out at Presentation School

Presentation School, , is hosting a National Night Out party on Tuesday, August 1st, 6-8:30pm. The event includes live music by local band Zilla, which plays music from the 60's to the present, kids' activities and food. If weather is bad, this event will be held in the school gym.
