Author Chat/Reading with Wisconsin Author Leea Glasheen

An Author Chat/Reading will be held 5:30-6:30 pm Tuesday, August 29, for "Backbiters," a young-adult dystopian novel, by Wisconsin author and teacher Leea Glasheen, which follows a 15-year-old mutant girl fifty-four years after a corporate world war decimates human and animal populations on Earth. This event is open to all young adults and not-so-young adults.

Gibbs Farm Friday: All About Bees

This Friday is all about bees! From 1-4 our new neighbor the Bell Museum of Natural History will bring over their own hive of Honeybees and some honey samples. Visitors will learn why beeswax makes the best candles, and they will be able to dip a pioneer-style candle to take home!
As always, we will be open from 10-4 and have guided tours of the historic Gibbs farmhouse and Dakota seasonal life!
All tours and programs are included in admission.

Family Fun Festival

The Women's Life Care Center is hosting a Family Fun Festival. Our event will include delicious summer food offerings, fun activities for all ages, a silent auction and the opportunity to win a variety of prizes. The Rince na Chroi Irish Dancers will provide live entertainment.
