School supply assistance available

The Good Neighbor Back to School Project, organized by the Ralph Reeder Food Shelf, is able to help families experiencing financial difficulties get school supplies for the coming year.

If you have children attending school in the Mounds View Public School District and are experiencing financial difficulty and need help with school supplies and/or food, call the Ralph Reeder Food Shelf at 651-621-6280 to schedule an appointment.

Make sure your children are registered in the school district before making an appointment. Due to limited space, the food shelf also asks that you do not bring your children to the appointment. The Ralph Reeder Food Shelf is located at 2544 Mounds View Blvd., in Mounds View.

‘Tools For Schools’ campaign

In collaboration with area schools and nonprofits, Old National Bank launched its annual, corporate-wide “Tools for Schools” campaign on July 15. The initiative is a community-wide collection drive of school supplies for under-resourced youth in grades K-12.

The campaign will run through Aug. 10, and donations can be made in any of Old National’s banking locations during normal business hours. In the north metro, Old National has a branch at 1240 County Road E W., in Arden Hills.

The drive seeks to collect backpacks, calculators, combination locks, binders, folders, protractors, rulers, glue, scissors, and three- and five- subject notebooks.

Old National volunteers will collect all donated items, and work with area programs for distribution. For more information or to donate virtually go to www.oldnational.com/toolsforschools.
