Gaming night at Silverwood Park

Join the Three Rivers Park District for a gaming night like no other on July 20, from 6 to 10:30 p.m. at Silverwood Park, 2500 County Road E in St. Anthony. The park will transform into an outdoor, life-sized game board including outdoor game tournaments, retro video game machines, role-playing games like Dungeons & Dragons, a digital planetarium and more.

Game passports will be available and can be completed to win prizes. Food, beer and other beverages will also be available for purchase. The event will feature live music from Nur-D and Twin Cities Brass throughout the evening. This program is free and open to ages 21-plus.

 

“Bark and Rec Day” in Arden Hills

Join the Arden Hills Parks and Recreation Department for its fifth annual “Bark and Rec Day” on July 27 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Perry Park, 3700 New Brighton Road. Dogs can enjoy the sunshine in the park’s designated off-leash area, while owners make a craft every dog will love to wear. Free refreshments and snacks will be provided.

 

 Nature walk at Silverwood Park

Take a walk with a naturalist on July 14 from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at Silverwood Park, 2500 County Road E., in St. Anthony. Watch and listen for birds and wildlife, and bring binoculars if you have them. This program is free and open to all ages, but children 17 years and younger must be accompanied by an adult.

 

Silverwood Park after dark

Hang out in Silverwood Park after dark on July 18 from 8:30 to 10 p.m. Discover fascinating things outside after the sun goes down, while enjoying s’mores and hot chocolate. Bring a flashlight and dress for the weather. This event costs $5, with a 20% discount for groups of four or more. It’s open to all ages, but children 17 years and younger must be accompanied by an adult.

 

“Cone with a Cop” in Mounds View

Climb the Mounds View Police Department’s rock wall and have ice cream with an officer on July 13 from 6 to 7 p.m. at McDonald’s, 2201 Highway 10 in Mounds View.
