Libraries offer more monsters

Reverend Matt’s Monster Science returns to the Roseville Library this spring.

The event is scheduled for Monday, April 15, and is called “A Memoir of Mammoths and Mastodons.” From the press release: Elephantine mammals have come in an astonishing variety of forms in their tens of millions of years on earth: small, immense, woolly, hairy and equipped with many different kinds of tusks. Learn about their history, and the bizarre ways that humans have understood and related to them. Were they really considered giant moles? Who ate mammoth meat? And which Founding Father hoped to find living woolly elephants in North America?

That event is also at 7 p.m. and takes place at the Roseville Library, located at 2180 Hamline Ave. N.
