Valentine’s Swing Dance at RLC

Roseville Lutheran Church (RLC) is hosting a sweetheart swing dance on Saturday, Feb. 16, from 7 to 9 p.m. The 18-piece RLC Jazz Band will provide the music as it revives some of the swing era’s most popular tunes from the ‘30s and ‘40s. Free dance lessons with a professional instructor start at 6 p.m. for those who don’t know how to swing dance or if their steps are a little rusty. Come and enjoy the music — the dance is free and open to the public. All ages, dancers and non-dancers are welcome. Light refreshments will be available.

The RLC Jazz Band is a traditional big band, comprised of members and friends of Roseville Lutheran. It also features vocal talent from the congregation. Its playlist consists of a mix of classic music, along with many standards from the big band era.

Roseville Lutheran is located at 1215 Roselawn Ave. W. between Lexington and Hamline avenues in Roseville. Directions to the church can be found at www.rosevillelutheran.org.
