NEWSBRIEF: Pre-construction open house on Highway 36/Hadley Avenue Interchange Project set for Feb. 5

The public is invited to attend an open house to learn about the construction phasing for the Highway 36/Hadley Avenue interchange project from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5, at the Oakdale Discovery Center in Oakdale, 4444 Hadley Ave. N.

The Highway 36/Hadley Avenue (County State Aid Highway 35 and Municipal State Aid Route 241) Interchange Project in Oakdale involves the construction of a grade-separated interchange that will remove the existing signalized intersection. The project will enhance travel safety and mobility along the roadway, while extending Highway 36 corridor improvements. It will include a new bridge, interchange ramps, Gateway Trail grade separation (underpass), and other pedestrian enhancements. The goal of the project is to more efficiently and safely manage increasing traffic and pedestrian/bicycle traffic in the area.

Area residents, business owners, and interested parties are welcome to drop by the open house anytime between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to learn about the construction phasing and detours for the project. County, Minnesota Department of Transportation, and city staff, and the consultant design team will be available to answer questions. No formal presentation is planned.

More project information is available on the county website at www.co.washington.mn.us/2504/HadleyInterchange.
