Traditional Lessons and Carols

Head to Jehovah Lutheran Church for its traditional Lessons and Carols worship on Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, at 4 p.m. The Lessons & Carols tradition sequences familiar Bible readings alternating with beloved Christmas carols. The liturgy begins in darkness with “Once in Royal David’s City,” typically featuring a child soloist. Worship concludes with children lighting handheld candles pew by pew during the singing of “Silent Night.” The church is located at 1566 Thomas Ave. in St. Paul.
