LETTER: Becker-Finn’s silence is deafening

To the Editor:

Recently, revelations have revealed a second domestic violence claim against DFL attorney general candidate Keith Ellison from a 911 phone call and yet, Jamie Becker-Finn is silent.

Jamie Becker-Finn proudly presents herself as an attorney-advocate for victims of domestic violence; however, Becker-Finn has been very much silent on the domestic assault claims against Keith Ellison from two different women even with medical records provided.

If Jamie Becker-Finn is truly an advocate for survivors of domestic violence, she surely knows many victims are afraid to report such incidents due to retaliation from their abusers.

We can no longer risk Jamie Becker-Finn ignoring the voices of our loved ones who are being abused and violently attacked. Enough is enough!

Join me in voting for Yele-Mis Yang to be our next state representative for District 42B as he brings diversity and commitment to all Minnesotans through his community services work, caring for the elderly and the disabled. Mr. Yang truly brings hope to all Minnesotans!

If you are a victim of domestic violence or have concern about a family or friend, please contact the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-7233. The hotline is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and an expert advocate will listen to your story. Everything is confidential and the professional advocates will be there during your path to safety. There is hope for all victims.
