NEWSBRIEF: Inver Grove Heights B.E.S.T. Foundation Golf Tournament

The Inver Grove Heights B.E.S.T. Foundation will host its 27th Annual Benefit Golf Tournament on Monday, August 27, at the Inver Wood Golf Course, 1850 70th St E., in Inver Grove Heights. Everyone is invited to participate. The tournament is a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m. This is a four-person scramble, best ball format. Onsite registration opens at 11:30 a.m. and lunch will be served from 11:30 to noon for the golfers.   The cost per golfer is $125, which includes the round of golf, cart, lunch, and buffet dinner plus the opportunity to win some great prizes.  You may bring your own foursome or be assigned to a foursome. Anyone interested in watching is welcome to attend, and there will be a buffet dinner at 5:30 p.m. for $20.  Prizes will be awarded for the first through fourth place teams. Proceeds from this fundraiser will be used to award scholarships to graduating Simley High School seniors.  In 2018, the IGH B.E.S.T. foundation offered 119 Simley seniors scholarships totaling $178,628.00.  This money comes from several sources including donations, memorials, and endowments from local corporations and individuals, as well as the three events hosted by the IGH B.E.S.T. Foundation: The Fundraiser Dinner and Silent Auction; the B.E.S.T. Golf tournament, and the May Day 5K.

Registration forms are available online for those who would like to participate or sponsor a hole. Prize donations are also being accepted.  For more information about participating in the tournament, making a donation, or learning more about the IGH B.E.S.T.
