East Side Freedom Library event

The East Side Freedom Library invites neighbors for an evening of song and conversation about South Africa on Tuesday, July 24, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Youth from 29:11, a musical group from Cape Town, South Africa, will share a story of reconciliation as South Africa deals with its apartheid past. While the apartheid regime was dissolved in 1994, life in formerly segregated communities is still difficult. 29:11 will be sharing their stories of emerging from these challenges. The library is located at 1105 Greenbrier St. and the event is free and open to anyone. For events and to contact the library, visit eastsidefreedomlibrary.org.
