NEWSBRIEF: Dakota County seeks public input on walking and bicycling study

Over the past year, Dakota County has been preparing a study of countywide walking and bicycling networks with a focus on county roads. The draft study:

• Affirms the importance of investing in walking and biking in Dakota County

• Identifies the county’s specific challenges that create barriers to walking and biking 

• Recommends a focus on facilities for people of all ages and abilities

• Recommends a focus on safety at crossings of county highways

• Prioritizes existing gaps in the pedestrian and bicycle system
