Tinker Tuesdays

Join the West St. Paul Library as they explore a variety of fun Maker activities. Learn a new skill, create a cool masterpiece, have fun with technology, and be inspired by others — no experience necessary.  This will take place at the library, 199 Wentworth Ave. E., from 3 to 6 p.m., on May 29. 


Dementia information meeting

The one-hour session is a face-to-face discussion lead by a Dementia Friends Champion; it’s not a formal training or education session. The session includes fun activities and interaction. You’ll learn what dementia is and tips for communicating with people who have dementia. Everyone who attends is asked to consider a practical action that can help someone in their community. The action can be big or small - every action counts. Register by May 30, for this informational session on June 6, from 1 to 2 p.m. It will take place at Thompson Park Activity Center, 1200 Stassen Lane, West St. Paul. Call 651-403-8300 to register. 


Spring Pops Concert

The spring pops concert on June 1, from 7 to 9 p.m., at St. Croix Lutheran, 1200 Oakdale Ave. West St. Paul, features the music of the Croixaliers, Oakdale Avenue Jazz, Concert Choir, Crusader Band, Freshman Chorus, and ensembles.
During the concert, farewell tributes will be made to Pastor Jonathan Leach, Mrs. Erin Bohl, and Mr. Garrett Schoch.
A cake and punch reception will follow. Baskets will be available to drop off cards and gifts to the honorees. If you cannot attend but would like to send a gift, mail your tribute to Chris Tollefson, St. Croix Lutheran Academy, 1200 Oakdale Ave, West St. Paul.

British History

Few have had the opportunity to join an archaeological dig and even fewer of us have been able to join in their successes and failure. This summer you have the opportunity visit three such “digs”. Each dig looking for, and maybe finding, that prized something. There will be a session on a separate dig each month this summer. Register by June 5 by calling 651-403-8300 for the June 12 session, which will run from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. The cost is $8, and this will take place at Thompson Park Activity Center, 1200 Stassen Lane, West St. Paul. 


Community Kickball tournament

TriDistrict Community Education – Family Programming is teaming up with the city of Mendota Heights to throw a Community Kickball Tournament. Create teams of eight to 15 people for a day of fun, food and friendship. Each team must have at least four children on their roster. Each registered participant will also receive a meal on the day of the tournament. Teams will only need one person to register on the TriDistirct Community Education website at or by phone at 651-403-8313. The tournament will be June 10 at Mendakota Park, 2171 Dodd Road, from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. The cost is $45.
