Thank you, neighbors

State Rep. Leon Lillie – District 43B

Neighbors, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for all of the kind words and well wishes over recent weeks. A special thanks to the North St. Paul EMS and the North St. Paul Fire Department for their assistance after my recent fall. They quickly arrived on scene and safely transported me to Regions Hospital in St. Paul.

For those of you who don’t know, gravity still works and it does still apply to representatives,  but I am recovering well, and I am going to do my best to not test the laws of physics anytime soon.

While I am recovering, I have been staying in touch with many of my colleagues at the Capitol through phone calls, emails and visits. Recently, I attended the Capital Investment meeting for the first hearing on a proposed bonding bill. Last fall, we traveled all corners of the state and the metro area viewing projects that could possibly be included in this year’s proposal. Although the bill is a good start, it is missing some important projects. I will continue working with the chair to craft a measure that will earn strong bipartisan support.

Once again, thank you for the recent support; it means a lot to me. Please contact me if you have questions or concerns. It is an honor representing you.
