North St. Paul City Council has extended an offer to interim City Manager Dr. Craig Waldron to stay on as the city manager. Waldron has accepted the offer for a short term, two-year contract, which was approved at the March 20 city council meeting.

“I am very excited to be staying on in this great prideful community. I really look forward to working with our City Council, staff and citizens,” said Waldron.

Waldron is currently a faculty member at Hamline University in the School of Business and has an extensive educational background. Waldron received a BA in Sociology from the University of Iowa, a Master’s Degree in Urban and Regional Studies from Minnesota State University and a Doctorate in Public Administration from Hamline University. His past employment includes City Administrator of Oakdale, Community Development Director of Roseville and Business Finance Specialist for Minnesota.

In October of 2017, North St. Paul City Council accepted a resignation from former City Manager Jason Ziemer.
