Home tour volunteers

The Minneapolis-St. Paul Home Tour is coming up on April 28 and 29. There will be eight Dayton’s Bluff homes included in the tour and local organizer Karin DuPaul is seeking about 40 volunteers to work a couple-hour-long shift to help homeowners as they show their homes. Ramsey County Earth day cleanup

Volunteers of all ages are needed for the annual Earth Day Cleanup to be held April 21 at Battle Creek Regional Park. The primary focus of the event is trash pickup and removal, and to help the parks prepare for the busy spring and summer seasons. Ramsey County Parks & Recreation is seeking 150-200 volunteers to assist with the cleanup. The event will begin at 8:30 a.m. with coffee and doughnuts for volunteers. This volunteer event is open to individuals, families and small groups. Space is limited, please sign up early. Registration is required in advance of the event. All participants should wear long pants and closed-toe shoes. Registration can be done at www.ramseycounty.us. Search for “Earth Day Cleanup” to find the registration page.

 

Art in the Hollow artists

With spring in the air it’s time to start thinking about Art in the Hollow, the annual art festival in Swede Hollow Park that will take place June 2. The TAP, a local social organization, and its literary club, Urban Journal, will be hosting space for performers of all talents during the day-long festival.
